Cette semaine : Top Ten Bookish Pet Peeves (all those things that annoy you in a story, with book covers, bookstores, etc.)

Râleuse que je suis, j'ai trouvé de quoi faire aujourd'hui ^^

1. Les livres commandés sur le net qui arrivent cornés, ou abîmés de quelques façons que ce soit. On abîme pas un livre, didiou !!

2. Les étiquettes de prix qui collent si bien qu'on arrive pas à les enlever... grrrr...

3. Les tranches pliées. Ca rejoint le point un. Mais là c'est parfois difficile à éviter, surtout si le livre est gros. Et ça me fend le coeur à chaque fois !

4. Les mots ou expressions souvent répétés. Beaucoup ici se souviendront je pense du fameux "derechef" de Twilight ;p Gyaaah !!

5. Les fins bâclées. Surtout si le livre est un pavé. C'était bien la peine...

6. Les héroïnes soient disant forte et indépendante qui deviennent mollassonnes au côté de leur futur... (là je pense particulièrement à la littérature sentimentale...)

7. Le catalogage. Non toute la littérature jeunesse n'est pas soit uniquement pour les ados de 14 ans ou moins, soit du Twilight. Merci !

8. Les résumés de quatrième de couverture qui spoilent toute l'histoire. Ou ceux qui résument complètement à côté (ou plutôt on va dire "qui encensent tellement l'histoire qu'on est pas loin de la publicité mensongère")

9. Les séries désormais quasi inévitables. C'est sympa les séries. Mais trop c'est trop. (m'enfin, faible que je suis, je n'y résiste pas pour autant !)

10. Le prix de la plupart des grands formats en France...

11. Les incohérences dans l'histoire. Ça m'agace au plus haut point et j'ai tendance à me focaliser dessus.

1. Books that I ordered on the internet arriving dog-eared, or damaged in any way whatsoever. You don't damage a book!! lol

2. The price tags that stick so well we can't remove them... *insert an angry face here*

3. Damaged book edges. It goes with the first point. But sometimes it is difficult to avoid, especially if the book is big. And it breaks my heart every time!

4. Words or phrases which are very often repeated.

5. The botched endings. Especially if the book is big. It's like "all this for that?!"

6. The heroines which are supposely strong and independent that become flaccid alongside their beloved boyfriend... (here I particularly think to sentimental literature ...)

7. Labelling. "Children litterature" is not only for teenagers aged 14 or under, or like Twilight. Thank you!

8. Summaries that spoil the whole story. Or those that miss the point of the story (or rather we will say "who embroider so well the story that it's like they talk about another book" lol)

9. The series which are now almost inevitable. I like series. But enough is enough! (well... let's be honest. Weak as I am, I can not resist them anyway!)

10. The prices of books in France... We don't have hardcover books, but they are first released in a bigger format. Those books are very expensive, and sometimes the equivalent of paperback (we call them "pocket books") are released a looong time after the first publication :(

11. Inconsistencies in the story. It annoys me to the highest point and I tend to focus on them.
