British Books Challenge 2011

Troisième et peut-être pas dernier (qui sait ?!) challenge auquel je m'inscris pour l'année 2011 !

Organisé par The Bookette, l'idée est de mettre en avant les auteurs anglais. J'ai trouvé l'idée sympa. J'aurais le courage d'héberger un tel évènement, je serais assez tentée de faire de même pour les auteurs français. (si d'ailleurs cela tente quelqu'un... ;))

Il est vrai que je m'attarde encore trop peu souvent sur l'auteur d'un livre, et j'aimerais corriger cela. Avec ce challenge, je connaîtrais au moins leur nationalité ^^

Deux niveaux sont proposés :

- Winston Churchill - lire 6 livres écrits par des auteurs britanniques

- The Royal Family - lire 12 livres écrits par des auteurs britanniques

Dans les deux cas, le challenge s'étend du 1er janvier au 31 décembre 2011 et les livres peuvent être de n'importe quel genre, et lus en n'importe quelle langue. (A noter toutefois qu'une courte traduction de la critique en anglais serait la bienvenue ;))

Pour le moment, je ne vais pas être trop optimistes sachant que j'ai 2 autres challenges de prévus, je vais rester sur le niveau Winston Churchill.

Cette liste n'est pas définitive. Je cale sur le 6e livre, et je n'exclus pas d'en trouver d'autres plus tard :)

Third, and perhaps not last (who knows?) 2011 challenge for which I'm entering!

The idea is to highlight British authors. I thought the idea was nice. If I had the courage to host such an event, I'd be pretty tempted to do the same for French authors. (If someone is tempted ...;))

It's true that I often know nothing about the author of a book, and I'd like to change that. With this challenge, I at least know where they come from ^^

Two levels are offered:

- Winston Churchill - read 6 books by British authors

- The Royal Family - read 12 books by British authors

In both cases, the challenge runs from January 1 to December 31, 2011 and books can be of any genre, and read in any language. (Note, however, that a short translation in English of the reviews would be appreciated ;))

For now, I'm not going to be too optimistic given that I entered 2 other challenges, I'll stay on the Winston Churchill level.

This list is not definitive. I haven't found yet the sixth book, and I don't exclude finding more books later :)
